Clinical Expertise & Training

I graduated with an Honours degree in Physiotherapy from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 2011. I began my professional career by gaining invaluable experience in acute care at the Prince of Wales Hospital, a major acute trauma teaching hospital in Hong Kong, and then spent years in dedicated private clinical practice before relocating to the United Kingdom. Driven by a passion for challenging environments, I also dedicated my time after hours to pre-hospital emergency medical services in Hong Kong. In 2017, I attained the Certificate of Achievement as an Emergency Services Instructor Trainer from the Justice Institute of British Columbia. This extensive background in emergency support and acute trauma management gave me profound, practical insights into immediate injury management and the profound physical impact of trauma on patients.

My Turning Point: From Therapist to Patient

A few years ago, my perspective on rehabilitation completely changed when I was involved in a severe car accident caused by a drunk driver. The collision left me with debilitating neck and back injuries, making even walking an immense struggle. For three gruelling months, I relied heavily on crutches to move.

Navigating this intensive rehabilitation process as a patient, rather than a clinician, was a profound turning point. I truly lived the physical hardship, daily frustrations, and vulnerability that patients face during recovery. Witnessing the incredible impact of dedicated physiotherapy through my friends and colleagues, I successfully regained my mobility and health.

Today, I don’t just understand the clinical science of physiotherapy; I know exactly what it feels like to walk in your shoes. As a chartered physiotherapist, I am deeply passionate about helping you manage your pain, restore your body’s resilience, and safely guide you back to doing what you love.
